Portsmouth’s Making Waves Film Festival returns to the Dockyard

Making Waves will put on challenging film events at a varied range of unusual venues including the only surviving Royal Navy ship from the First World War’s Gallipoli Campaign HMS M.33 and the Cold War submarine, HMS Alliance.

Friday 25 Sep Turkish film Canakkale –Yolun Sonu tells the story of two brothers who fight on the front line at Gallipoli 1915

Saturday 26 Sep On board HMS Alliance, Morning Departure, the chilling submarine film starring John Mills and Richard Attenborough trapped on the bottom of the ocean will be an immersive experience when screened in the torpedo store.
