In Woburn Abbey’s Sculpture Gallery on Tuesday 13th October, Bedfordshire NSPCC is holding a Luxury Gift Fair. All profits will be donated to the NSPCC to support their work in Bedfordshire.
There will be over 40 stalls, so whether you are shopping early for Christmas or just to treat yourself, we are sure you will find something to suit you. In addition to the stalls, there will be the gift tree – every ticket promising a gift worth over £10.
Susan Lousada, a member of the organising committee said: “This fair has been organised by a group of NSPCC supporters and thanks to the wonderful support of The Duke and Duchess of Bedford, we hope to raise a significant amount of money to support the vital work of the NSPCC and change children’s lives in Bedfordshire”.
The funds raised will support the NSPCC’s Schools Service – a vital service that gives children the tools to protect themselves. Trained volunteers go into schools to talk to children about abuse in all its forms, to educate them in an age appropriate way, giving them the confidence to talk about abuse and how to seek help.
We want children to know that if they are worried about themselves or their friends, there is something they can do and someone they can talk to, including contacting ChildLine.
Doors open at 9.30am and close at 4.00pm; entry is £5 payable on the day. Light lunches, tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.
