The War and Peace Revival 2016 Update!

The War and Peace Revival 2016 Update!

A new dawn rises for the War and Peace Revival.  A new, but campaign hardened team supported by Rex Cadman and Barbara Shea are now putting together the plans for the 2016 show, to be held at Folkestone Racecourse, 19th to 23rd July.  Within days of the 2015 show ending the booking office has been overwhelmed with the number of bookings received for the 2016 show from eager exhibitors and participants. The enthusiasm, dedication and commitment from all involved with the War and Peace Revival is very much evident and has always been central to the success of the show.  It’s this same nurturing spirit that will ensure the show will grow and continue to grow for years to come.

The War and Peace Revival 2016 Update!

The 2016 show will be the largest gathering yet of military vehicles, living history re-enactors, militaria and trade stalls.  Visitors to the show will be treated to a truly breathtaking event that will include:

•Action packed displays and re-enacted battles in the main arena featuring troops, tanks, artillery, jeeps, armoured and amphibious vehicles and motorbikes.  The action will be explosive!

•Walks through the Living History scenes, giving visitors a real feel of the conditions men and women endured, fighting through conflicts from the First World War to the present.

•The War and Peace Battle of Britain Experience.  With full-sized replica Spitfire, Hurricane and Me 109, this exhibition gives an incredible insight into the war fought in the skies above Europe during WW2.

•A Land Train, with scheduled stops around the showground, allowing visitors to see more of the show in a much more leisurely style.

•Hundreds of exhibitor trade stands selling thousands upon thousands of military items including decommissioned weapons, uniforms, vehicles and militaria covering every conflict of the 20th Century.  Keep your eyes open for the hundreds of ‘show only offers’.

•The Home Front, where visitors can step into a wartime British village complete with shops, traditional pub, theatre and ‘Victory Garden’.  All brought to life by the ‘Home Front’ re-enactors and patrolled by the Home Guard.

•Tank rides, sit on top these awesome armoured vehicles and feel the thundering power beneath you as their tracks crush their way through the rough terrain.

•One of the largest model displays in the UK featuring aircraft, vehicles, figures and dioramas.

With a continual programme of entertainment, music and dance, vintage fashion and kid’s activities, it’s a great family day out.  Many more exciting show attractions and features are currently being planned to push the boundaries and make the 2016 War and Peace Revival a show to remember.
